Caring For Your Jewelry
Caring For Your Freshwater Pearls
When cared for properly, pearls can last a lifetime. The best way to care for pearls is to wear them often as the body's natural oils keep pearls lustrous. However, it's important to keep them away from household chemicals including perfume, makeup and hairspray. Chemicals found in these common products can dull the luster of your pearls. It is recommended that you put your pearls on last when getting ready and make them the first thing you take off when you come home. Separate your pearls from other jewelry to avoid scratching their surfaces. Should you do scratch your pearls simply re-buff the scratched area with a soft cloth. Store your pearls lying down, be careful not hang them as the weight of them will stretch the silk strand they are knotted to.
Caring for your Natural Stones
Using a damp cloth and gently rubbing each stone is the best way to take care of your polished Natural Stone Jewelry.
Caring for your Fashion Jewelry (Rhodium and Bracelets)
Most of our fashion jewelry is Rhodium plated, it is highly resistant to tarnishing making it easy to clean. Simply taking a damp soft cloth and gently rubbing your piece of jewelry should be all it takes.
Do not use corrosive chemicals that might harm the Rhodium plating or your Freshwater Pearls when cleaning.
